New Dansko Shoes for Fall!

I love Dansko shoes. I have three pairs. They are practically indestructible, and they are my go-to shoes when my feet hurt. They have gotten me through long days on my feet, as well as for random wear about town. I am so excited to see the new models, and several of them really grabbed my attention. Here’s a sampling:

Dansko Women’s Crepe Chukka – This great little bootie has a simple yet classic design with its lace closure. You can dress this boot up or down depending on your attire. I’m excited that I can get a style like this with all the usual features of Dansko shoes, like the firm arch support, rocker bottom, and outstanding shock absorption. It’s available in Bronze or Steel Vintage Suede. This one is high on my wish list!

Like Mary Janes? There’s a new one called…Maryjane. Seriously. But it’s not like other Mary Janes, this one has the Mary Jane full grain leather upper attached to the classic Dansko stapled clog base. It’s also great because it has a nice wide toe box so that you can move your toes easily. You’ll love the outstanding support of this shoe, and you can wear it for casual or dressy occasions.

If you’ve liked the Veda, you’ll love the new leather versions of this shoe. Available in brown or black pull up leather, this lace-up shoe is a great all-around shoe for every day. It has a heel height of 1 ¼” and is nice and lightweight while providing excellent support.  This shoe also carries the Seal of Acceptance from the American Podiatric Medical Association, so you can feel good about this choice in footwear!

An interesting new flat is the Carol. Available in black nappa leather, this looks unlike any other Dansko you’ve ever seen. The support is hidden, yet still very much in evidence! I love the fact that this shoe is not in any way clunky-looking, and it has a flex construction so that your foot will bend easily. As with all Dansko shoes, these provide the arch support I need and will go with virtually everything in my wardrobe. I can’t wait to get my hands on a pair!

Dansko fans, rejoice – the new fall models are here. Come and get ‘em!

Kalso Earth Shoes: New Styles, Same Great Negative Heel Properties

The theory behind Kalso Earth shoes may have been developed years ago, but the benefits of this technology continue to advance and many fashion-forward styles have been introduced. These are not the clunky shoes of the ‘70s, they are stylish, functional, and the negative heel helps keep your Achilles tendon stretched and your foot exercised. Developed by yoga instructor, Anne Kalso, this brand is sure to please everyone who wants a healthy and stylish shoe.

New models include:

Kalso Earth Enrapture – this microfiber upper on this women’s sandal has decorative pleating. The slip-on design of this shoe provides a very secure and stable fit, and the negative heel helps reduce joint stress and improve posture. This shoe is also available in a variety of colors, including Pewter, Black, Cream and Bark.

Need an athletic shoe? Try the Kalso Earth Women’s Prosper. The suede/mesh upper helps keep your feet cool and dry, while the footbed provides excellent support. The heel is soft and collapses for ease in getting the shoe on and off.  Available in Grey/Purple Suede or Black Microfiber, you’ll love how they feel on your feet.

A cute thong-styled shoe is the Kalso Earth Women’s Rhyme. The premium leather upper is adorned with handcrafted jewels, giving this shoe a very feminine and ornate look. Yet the shoe still gives you the feeling of walking barefoot on sand. It improves your posture since the negative heel automatically positions your body properly. This shoe is healthy AND beautiful!

For a terrific everyday shoe, try the Kalso Earth Women’s Solar. This Mary Jane-styled shoe has a soft leather upper with a rugged man-made sole. I would even consider this shoe for dressier attire. The BioFoam cushioning and anatomic arch support really make this shoe comfortable, yet it is streamlined enough so that it’s not clunky looking. I am a sucker for elegant Mary Janes, and this one fits the bill.

It’s the perfect casual shoe for weekend wear, or just around town. It’s available in Dark Java/Tan Nubuck or Black/Tan Nubuck, so between the two of them they can go with almost anything you wear.

More Happy Shoes from Alegria!

I love it when Alegria announces new patterns and colors (as well as new models) to its line. By far, these choices are the most interesting of any brand I’ve ever seen. I really enjoy shoes that are not bland or boring, and Alegrias are anything but! Here’s some of the new styles that have piqued my interest.

Alegria Women’s Abbi – this is a lace-up shoe! You can really get a customized fit this way. The embossed pattern adds elegance, and the shoe is available in Black, Brown, or Surreal (a floral pattern) leather. The mild rocker sole alleviates metatarsal pressure, yet the flat heel provides stability in the shoe. It’s a good choice for those with Plantar Fasciitis or who do a lot of standing during the day. You can even insert your own custom orthotics into this shoe.

Alegria Women’s Classic Breezy – this clog is available in a bunch of beautiful colors, including my favorite, Dusty Rose Leather. I love the leather cut-outs in the upper. This is an easy-to-wear shoe that contains all of the usual fantastic features of every Alegria shoe, like the removable patented interlocking footbed system with latex, memory foam and cork. It’s comfortable, stylish, and can go with a bunch of outfits in my wardrobe.

Alegria Women’s Classic Fabric – here’s a new twist on an existing favorite model. Alegria has added some intricate fabric and patent leather to the Classic style. It’s a very unique style that lovers of pattern will really enjoy. Of course, lovers of good arch support will also be thrilled.

Alegria Women’s Kaitlyn – this could be your next favorite everyday shoe. It’s a Mary Jane style, yet provides a more secure fit than most Mary Janes you’ve probably seen. Available in White Floral Leather, Dark Floral Leather, and Black Nappa Leather, this really cute shoe is also stain resistant and slip resistant. I really love the floral patterns, they just exude happiness.
