From Kitten Heels to Wedges to Flats: Great Styles from Helle Comfort!

It’s always exciting when Footwear etc. carries a new brand, and especially so when the models are absolutely adorable! With an added bonus of adjustability for narrow to wide widths, you can’t miss with Helle Comfort shoes.

I particularly love the fact that these shoes can be used for casual or very dressy wear. I can easily see myself wearing these with slacks or dresses. It’s really gratifying to see that you can have a really comfortable shoe that is perfect for special occasions! (No more taking the shoes off at parties or weddings!)

With Italian leather uppers, microfiber-covered latex footbeds with arch and metatarsal support, and durable outsoles, Helle Comfort shoes are fantastically stylish and comfortable. Here are some of the new styles available at Footwear etc.:

The Bell is a gorgeous slide available in Honey Raindrops Leather or Black Raindrops Leather. The footbed actually provides even weight distribution so that you can minimize weight on the ball of your foot. You can’t beat that level of comfort with such a stylish shoe.

Wedge fans will love the Gemini. Available in Honey Crocket Leather or Black Crocket Leather, this shoe gives you a lot of fashion versatility.  It has a 2 ½” heel, but given it’s a wedge it doesn’t feel like a big heel. Laser Cut Shoes for the Ultimate in Embellished Style!

I love shoes that have a lot of detailing. It makes any shoe a little more special. It can add femininity, airiness, even a little glamour to a shoe. Footwear etc. offers many shoes with laser cut detailing that can be casual or dressy. With so many brands that have these features available, you can have a shoe for every mood! Here are a few of my favorites:

Naot is one of the most comfortable brands I’ve ever tried, and I love its fashion-forward styles.  The Palace is a beautiful slide that you could wear for casual or dressy occasions. The elegant cut-out floral  pattern on the leather upper makes this an incredibly versatile shoe. As with all Naot products, you’ll love the arch support and anatomical footbed, which will keep you comfortable for hours on end. The 2” heel height also adds some versatility to your wardrobe, yet is completely comfortable. You can’t go wrong with this shoe.

Need a flip flop? Check out the Orthaheel Aurora. This gorgeous flip flop contains both metal embellishments as well as laser cutout details. It’s elegant enough to wear with dressy slacks or a skirt, but casual enough to wear with shorts or jeans. I can easily see wearing it with jeans, dressy slacks, or even casual dresses.

New Sandals from Ariat!

Ariat footwear isn’t just about boots for equestrians or cowboys. Ariat footwear is great for anyone who wants high quality performance footwear in boots, shoes, and now sandals!

I love the beautiful styling of the new Ariat sandals. The company has paid attention to details, which really makes a difference to me. Here are a few of my favorites:

Slingback fans, check out the Ariat Del Ray. There’s a laser-cut floral pattern on the top of the leather upper and on the sides, along with brown and black leather straps. The whip-stitching details also augment the style details. Utilizing Advanced Torque Stability (ATS®) technology, this shoe provides excellent support and cushioning as you move. The wood-look platform also provides an air of casual elegance to this shoe.

The Atlantic is a lovely t-strap sandal. The whip-stitching all around the shoe adds a sporty touch to an elegant shoe. You’ll love the comfort of the leather and suede-covered, cushioned footbed as well as the 2” heel height.  No attention to detail is spared with this shoe; there are even rivet and braiding accents! This is a great all-around sandal for summer use.

The Ariat Women’s Panama slide is an incredibly easy-to-wear shoe in this collection. Sometimes you just need to slip your feet into a shoe and go, and the Panama is perfect for that. With elastic side goring and a leather and suede-covered, cushioned footbed, this slide could easily become your favorite grab and go shoe. The 2” heel height makes the shoe a little girly, yet isn’t so high that you won’t find it amazingly comfortable. I really love the hand-stitched details and the two-toned leather upper. This could look great with shorts, jeans, or even dresses.

Spenco Footwear – Not Just Insoles Anymore!

Spenco has been around since 1967 and has provided a wide variety of footcare products like insoles, heel cups, and orthotic arches. Now, Spenco has come out with actual footwear and it’s all on sale at Footwear etc.!  If you’re looking to expand your flip flop or slide collections, definitely check out the new line from Spenco! These shoes are cost-effective as well as supportive!

What makes these sandals great is that they have orthotic-quality arch and heel support. Spenco is known for its motion control properties as well; if you tend to pronate or supinate, these shoes can be very helpful. You’ll also notice that like the Spenco insoles, the sandals contain excellent shock absorption and cushioning.

Women have a couple of model choices in the Yumi Polysorb and the Kohlo Polysorb. The Yumi is a flip flop that is available in caramel/coffee synthetic, grey/pink synthetic, and grey/purple synthetic. The Kohlo  Polysorb is a slide that is available in black synthetic, caramel/coffee synthetic, grey/purple synthetic, or grey/pink synthetic.  

Men’s options include the Fusion Polysorb slide and the Yumi Polysorb flip flop.  The Fusion Polysorb is available in black synthetic, or black/blue synthetic. The Yumi Polysorb comes in brown/orange synthetic, khaki/chili synthetic, or black/grey synthetic.

Interesting Colors and Patterns in Clogs from Sanita!

Footwear etc. is excited to welcome back a fantastic brand of clogs, shoes, and sandals: Sanita. If you like wearing supportive clogs and shoes with classic and eclectic styles, you’ll love this brand. I’m very fussy about clogs in particular, and I really like Sanitas for a variety of reasons:

1)      Sanita clogs and shoes have an anatomically-shaped footbed and its designs are approved by the American Podiatric Medical Association. I’m all for any shoe that is GOOD for my feet and reduces the strain on my back and legs.

2)      They have a mild rocker outsole. This helps propel you forward, yet still provides stability. With a stabilizing PVC insert, shock absorbant flexible PU sole and skid-resistant outsole, I feel confident that my chances of falling in these shoes is lower than it would be in other brands.

3)      The toe box is roomy! I hate having my toes squished, and Sanitas give me lots of room to wiggle my toes.

4)      Sanitas have good arch support. That makes a huge difference in the length of time I can wear a pair of shoes comfortably.

5)      They come in fun colors and patterns! Not only can you get “normal” colors like black and brown, you can get colors like fuchsia, red patent leather, and violet! With patterns, the sky is the limit! Among others, you can choose from Brown Leopard Print, Camel Embossed Patent Leather, Zebra Print leather, or even Multi Color Leather. These shoes can truly reflect your mood!

Put Some Glam in your Life with Shoes that have Bling!

I’m a big fan of girly shoes, and I absolutely love anything with embellishments. That’s why I’m so excited to find some great new sandals from some of my favorite brands that all have jewels and/or beads. Take a look at some of these gorgeous styles:

Kalso Earth Women’s Enchant – Even a shoe with a negative heel can have a dressy appearance when you add jewels! I really enjoy the different colors and shapes of the jewels on the full-grain leather upper. You’ll love how these shoes make your body feel, as they help you improve your posture and help reduce joint stress.

Clarks has several models that are adorned with jewels and beads: the Poster Tulip, the Brisk Rosebud, and the Latin Circle. The Poster Tulip is a lovely, casual sandal that you can dress up based on what you wear. The Brisk Rosebud has thicker straps, but also contains some beads and sparkly jewels that are fun to wear all summer long. If you’re a flip flop fan, take a look at the Latin Circle. The beautiful beading makes this one of the most striking flip flops you’ll ever see. The  mild rocker outsole and outstanding arch support make this shoe outstandingly comfortable, yet it’s stylish enough to wear anywhere.

Naot  doesn’t skimp on jewels and rhinestones for a little bling in your life. The Samantha, Michele, and Malibu are all very stylish slides with beautiful embellishments on the uppers. Like all Naot shoes, these slides come with the cork and latex footbed that provides outstanding support for your busiest days, and a flexible and lightweight outsole for added comfort. I love how the jewels really augment each design!

Like Denim? We’ve Got Just the Shoes for You!

I love denim. It’s comfortable to wear, casual in appearance, and suits an informal lifestyle. Many manufacturers have extended denim fabric or denim colors to their shoe lines to enhance your casual attire. Here are a few that caught my attention:

Clarks Women’s Harwich Keel: This cute wedge slide is a great addition to your Spring/Summer wardrobe. I love how the denim is accented with a brown edging by the toe, and a brown strap with a buckle near the top of the foot. The cork-wrapped sole provides an additional casual air, and the OrthoLite® footbed cushions your foot for a very comfortable fit.

Another fun denim shoe from Clarks is the Fiddle Bow II. It’s a slingback with a stylish bow at the toe. Flip Flop Fans: You’ll Love the New Models and Colors from Orthaheel!

New MBT Styles Available for Spring!

Here at Footwear etc., we’re always chomping at the bit to see the next season’s new styles. Many of our customers have been anxiously awaiting the new line of MBT shoes, and they’re now available! Check out these great new styles, all of which have those fantastic rocker sole benefits that we’ve all come to love. If you’re battling Plantar Fasciitis, need to improve your posture, have joint pain, or even just love the way MBTs make your body feel, don’t miss them!

Like sandals? Women have a couple of options in the Kiburi and the Sadiki. Both are perfect for your warm-weather activities, and very attractive uppers to go with your attire.
