Earthies has some adorable dress shoes out now. I really love the Cristiana. It’s a suede shoe with a peep toe and peek-a-boo cutouts.  You wouldn’t expect a shoe this pretty to have an anatomic arch and a cupped heel to set the foot into the proper supported position, but it has all of these features. The 3” heel adds elegance to this design, and the zip up the back allows for easy on-off.  It’s also a great excuse for getting a pedicure!

Need a dressy flat? How about the Indigo by Clarks Tori Anne. You could wear this flat with your fanciest outfit or with a pair of jeans! That’s phenomenal versatility! The pleading detail at the heel adds visual interest, while the printed leather makes it look really elegant. Available in Burgundy, Chestnut, or Black, it’s a wonderful little all-around flat.

A really interesting shoe is the Pikolinos Women’s Romana Slip-on. I love the tapestry look to the upper, which is also augmented with an embroidered leather detail. I could see wearing this with a dress, skirt, or even dressy pantsuit. This is a really unique-looking shoe, and the hand-sewn details really pop. The 1 ¾” heel is also very comfortable.

I love wedge sandals during the warm-weather months. Indigo by Clarks has an adorable shoe called the Long Pond, in burnt orange leather. The padded footbed provides long-lasting comfort, the cork-wrapped wedge is very fashion-forward, and the outsole gives you great traction and durability. This is a fantastic shoe for a night out on the town!

My absolute favorite colorful shoe is the Think! Women’s 82337-9 Black Combi flip flop. The variety of primary colors always puts a smile on my face. Footwear etc. offers a myriad of types of shoes for many occasions. On my grand adventure, I’ll be doing lots of walking. Given that I have some foot issues anyway, I wanted to find a really stable, supportive shoe that I could count on. My choice? The New Balance WR1123MC. I’ve been a big fan of New Balance shoes for years, particularly since they come in different widths, always have a nice wide toe box, and are of excellent quality. Given my recurring stress fractures, plantar fasciitis, and Achilles tendonitis, I wanted to have a really stable shoe with good arch support and a roll bar to help keep me from overpronating. This shoe fits the bill in all of those areas. I’ve been wearing them to walk around my neighborhood in preparation for our trip, and I think my feet should hold up just fine. I love the support and comfort, and they are lightweight too. Fabulous shoe.

But I can’t live with just walking shoes alone! I like wearing sandals in the warm weather, and I love some of the new styles out right now. Again, I need supportive, stable shoes, so I decided on the Naot Trovador. The cork footbed provides phenomenal support and feels absolutely terrific. I’m finding that they actually help alleviate some of my chronic foot pain. These are also the first sandals I’ve owned that my daughter has wanted to borrow! This gladiator-style shoe is very fashion-forward and looks great with both casual and dressier outfits.

We’ve got formal nights to contend with too. What should I wear with the ubiquitous Little Black Dress? I’m opting for the Beautifeel Women’s Star. These are truly special-occasion shoes. For a small bag, it really holds a lot. Perfect for the wallet, sunglasses, cell phone, passport, etc. I also love the fact that it’s practically maintenance-free. I’m using a microfiber version, and it’s easy to clean with a damp cloth. You can use it on one shoulder, or crossing your torso for added security.

I really love the BeautiFeel Star, in clay/brown suede and patent leather. With a 2 ½” heel, it gives me a little height but provides stability so I won’t look like I’m teetering on my feet! The leather rose detail across the top of the shoe adds some femininity to an already classy-looking shoe. And the cushy insole also helps absorb shock, making the shoe even more comfortable to wear. Gorgeous shoe, superior comfort.

The Camille is a fantastic dress sandal. You can really feel the quality in the soft, Italian leather. This particular style is so versatile that you could wear it with a cocktail dress, or even work clothes. (I’ve done both!) Comfortable, breathable, cushioned and fashion-forward, this sandal has everything you’d want for dressy occasions.

Sometimes only a boot will do. I love to wear short boots under slacks; they really dress up the entire outfit. BeautiFeel’s Valeria fits the bill in spades!
