I like to get a lot of mileage out of my shoes. In particular, I like to be able to wear the same shoe from one activity to another. That’s why two shoes have really caught my attention: the Clarks Women’s Ashland, and the Clarks May Poppy. What is it about these two models that grabbed my attention? Lots of things!
The Ashland is a classically-designed shoe available in Brown, Mid-Brown, Black, and Navy Leather. They’re all neutral so they can go with lots of different wardrobe pieces. It’s easy to wear, since it’s easy to slip on and off and the leather upper is luxuriously soft. The OrthoLite® footbed provides lots of cushioning, and the style is such that you can wear it with jeans or with nicer slacks. I could easily wear this from work to play! The beautiful embellished stitching and decorative buttons provide some casual elegance, and I can’t wait to take this shoe out on the town!
The Clarks May Poppy is going to be my #1 work shoe. I would have absolutely no qualms about wearing it out to dinner or elsewhere afterwards. Again, Clarks has come up with some beautiful, classic styling that is perfect when you need to look professional OR casual. The 2” heel makes it easy to be on your feet for hours, and the OrthoLite® footbed provides outstanding cushioning. The flexible outsole provides great traction as well. It’s available in black, brown, navy, and brown crock leather, and definitely meets my criteria for a great everyday shoe.
