Did you know that April 22nd will be the 40th anniversary of Earth Day? It’s true! And to get in the spirit, we’re kicking off this next contest to our Facebook fans, asking them to share their conscientious creativity.
Challenge #18: The Earth Day Giveaway starts 4/9/10 and runs through 4/22/10. To enter, simply tell us how you reuse / recycle your shoebox on our shiny new Facebook page. (Fan photos are worth two entries!) One recycling recipient will be rewarded a brand new Footwear etc. virtual gift card with a value of $50.

I wrap it in paper and deocrate w/ a stamp with little notes or pictures, flowers etc , glue dried flowers or pictures I’ve found to meet the occaision, and use it as a gift box.

I use my shoe box to take my adorable, fuzzy hamster for a ride in the car!
I store family photos (filed behind index cards by year) with the name of the ancestor, child, grandchild, or occasion (such as “Vacations”, “Graduations”) with an identifying picture on the end of the painted box.
i love u use mine for hair stuff, like head bands, ponytail holder, comb and other stuff i use for my hair.
I use my shoeboxes for many things:
They are a great size for shipping care packages.
I keep my yearly receipts and forms in them and date them. (One for each year)
I store crafting supplies in them.
I even store shoes in them.
